As far as I'm concerned, Virgin America could do nothing new for the next decade (except maybe add some more destinations) and they'd still be my favorite airline. If you've ever flown Virgin America you're already picking up what I'm throwing down.
The young airline isn't resting one bit on the digital marketing front though. On June 24 the company plans to launch something it's calling "The Day In The Cloud Challenge." What's that you might ask? Just the "internet's most intense scavenger hunt where you'll scour the earth and cloud compute."
The challenge requires online access and a Google account -- simple enough. Virgin America hasn't released many details about the promotional challenge yet, but top scorers will get set up with their own personal "Year in the Cloud." Not only will the top virtual scavengers get a new HP netbook complete with 1 terabyte of storage on their Google account, but they'll also fly for free on the uber-cool airline for the entire year.
If I win, you'll know where to find me -- in the air, uh, I mean cloud(s).
