A source involved in unrelated M&A talks with Yahoo tells us it his understanding that Right Media is on the block. It's a fact that, after firing CEO Carol Bartz last week, Yahoo's board is considering all its options – including divesting major properties.

Bartz gave a scathing interview to Fortune last Thursday  in which she called the board "doofuses" and "the worst board in the country." But she also said that she planned to remain on Yahoo's board...

Digital's daily news (9/8/2011): Leaked Facebook revenue numbers cause a stir

An anonymous source told Reuters that Facebook earned $500 million on $1.6 billion in revenue during the first half of 2011. That's about twice as much as it earned and booked during the first half of 2010.
That's pretty impressive.

Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz is out as of tonight and the company's Chief Financial Officer Tim Morse has been named an interim CEO. The struggling portal will kick off a "comprehensive strategic review" of its business in an attempt to turn itself around.
